    Join me in exploring the motherly body through a wider lens; a 'whole body-mind-spirit lens'. I'll guide you through this journey of moving through healing and healing through moving. You'll have access to over 20 hours of guided videos and audios along with pdf material.


    My hope is that this platform can help you rebalance fully so that you can move and live the way you desire, regardless of your age or stage. You might be preparing your body for a future pregnancy, you might be finished having children, you might want to not feel so stiff, to be able to do a squat, to have enjoyable sex...wherever you are in your journey, I'm right here with you, navigating this non-linear path of motherhood.

    How does Postpartum Heal work?

    The online platform consists of seven modules; Motherland, Motherheal, Mothercheck, Motherscar, Motherbody, Mothercycle and Mother-rebalance

    All you have to do is find a space to move along to the recorded videos, listen to the guided audios and browse the educational content.

    Motherland

    Motherland is an invitation to land fully in your body after birth (and the invitation always exists for you, even many years later). We will delve into the Essential Postpartum needs of every mother; rest and retreat, nourishing food including an Ayurvedic perspective, supportive body/healing practices, presence of community and interaction with nature. 

    Motherheal

    Motherheal is the module in which we look specifically at healing after birth; addressing postnatal depletion, vaginal birth, caesarean birth, birth involving anaesthesia, a difficult birth and rebalancing after birth loss. We'll be using nutrition, breath and movement to assist with body healing.

    Mothercheck

    Mothercheck aims to expand the medical 6 week postpartum check and shine a light on the conditions that slip through the cracks (so that you don't slip through too).  We'll look at mental health, birth trauma and PTSD, thyroid conditions, pain, prolapse, incontinence, abdominal separation, sexual health, return to exercise and more. "Without knowing an injury has occurred, there can be no treatment to repair it"

    Motherscar

    Motherscar will teach you all about birth related scar tissue; not just caesarean scar tissue, but perineal scar tissue from perineal tears, episiotomy, and/or perineal surgery. You'll be guided through modalities that create space within the scar tissue for improved blood flow and tissue health and be intrigued by the far reaching implications of scar tissue in the body.  

    Motherbody

    Motherbody introduces you to the concept that balanced mobility creates stability. In this module you'll tend to your whole body alignment along with your centre, delving into pelvic floor, abdominal muscle separation and much much more. 

    Mothercycle

    Mothercycle helps you to understand the seasons of your life and the link between women's bodies, menstrual cycles, the tides, the lunar cycle and the earth season.

    Mother-rebalance

    This module builds on the introduced themes and adds in new concepts to explore. We'll use movement in interesting, restorative and primal-based ways to rebalance all pillars of health - biochemistry, nervous system and emotions, scar tissue, fascia, biomechanics and viscero-mechanics.

    You have one year's access to all of this content. You can loop backwards at anytime healing again, emerging again and thriving again. This is the true nature of motherhood; a non-linear looping journey.

    Postpartum Heal FAQ

    When can I start Postpartum Heal?

    You can sign up anytime. If you sign up before you birth, you'll have insight knowledge as to how to prepare for your 4th trimester and to set yourself up to heal well.  If you sign up after birth, it's never too early or too late.  Postpartum Heal offers so much more than just exercise; therefore you can delve into this platform even in the early weeks after birth.  I'm also a believer that it's never too late to heal - even if it's been years since you've birthed. 

    Can I do this program alongside other movement practices/exercise?

    Yes you can.  The aim of this platform is to help you heal well and move well in your postpartum journey.  My platform acts as a toolkit from which you can pick and choose what you need and when you need it to help support and rebalance your body.  It can be used as a stand-alone healing and movement practice or alongside other forms of exercise.  

    I have pain, can I still do this program?

    Yes.  My hope is that this program will help you explore the reasons behind your pain and enable you to move more freely.  As an Osteopath I use these postures, movement patterns and guided meditations everyday with many of my clients to help them find ease and balance in their bodies.   

    Is this program suitable for pelvic organ prolapse/pelvic floor dysfunction/incontinence?

    Yes - this program aims to explore all the factors that act on the pelvis - we can decompress from the sides and from above, gently and intelligently strengthen from below.  We look into the impact of the hips and the lower extremity and how they act on the pressure systems of the body.   

    Is this program specific to my core and pelvic floor?

    If you've been to an Osteopath before you'll know that they rarely treat just your problematic area - they take into consideration why that area is under load or not healing and that's what this program aims to do too.  A whole body grows and births a baby so I believe a whole body approach is needed to rebalance a body after birth.  Yes the pelvic floor and core need some special attention, but not at the expense of disregarding the rest of the body.  The pelvic floor doesn’t just start and end in the pelvis - it finds its way through soft tissue connections all the way up the spine to the head, all the way up the abdomen spreading into the chest and upper limbs and all the way down the legs to the feet.   This is what you will find in Postpartum Heal.

    I have experienced birth loss, is this platform suitable for me?

    Birth loss is a complex and often isolating experience.  In my physical practice I have been called upon to support mothers through and after birth loss in early pregnancy, late pregnancy and in the perinatal period.    These mothers were on my mind as I was creating this platform.  Tending to the nervous system and to the emotional and physical body is a big theme in my work and my hope is that this platform serves you as you journey this difficult path.

    What equipment will I need?

    Please don't rush out to buy too much straight away - in the early part of the platform you really don't need much .  And be resourceful with what you have laying around the house..if you need to purchase any items I've included some links below.

    Bed

    Muscle loop band (long) * make sure to purchase appropriate size according to your height
