April Thewlis ~ Osteopath

April knew from a young age she wanted to work in healthcare.  After seeking osteopathic treatment for chronic neck pain and headaches, she was inspired to  forge a career in the profession.

April graduated from Victoria University, completing a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science) and Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) in 2017. Prior to osteopathy, April worked as a remedial massage therapist for twelve years and ran a mobile massage service for pregnant and post-natal women in Melbourne. She also completed additional courses in dry needling and sports training. 

Due to her personal history, she enjoys treating neck pain and headaches, and treating women through their prenatal and postnatal journey. She finds the problem-solving aspect of determining the source of her patients' pain rewarding, as well as tailoring their individual manual therapy, management and rehabilitation.  

April moved to Warrnambool after falling in love with the south-west coastline nearly a decade ago and has finally made her dream a reality!
